Update from Older Version
Update: the latest version no longer looks for the “Old” folder inside the new one as described in the video, it just brings up a dialogue box asking you to browse to the old file but the concepts from the video still apply.
This video will provide a description of how to make voice comments in the confidential interview section of the MLS Companion Database. This feature was added in version 2.8. This assumes that the computer has a working microphone and speakers (may need drivers installed to accomplish this - dependent on the system). You may also want to go into the sound control panels and adjust the gain on the sound input settings if the sound is not loud enough.
Important Update: the sound fields do not transfer over when updating to a new version of the database program - not sure why (images work). The bottom line is that if you upgrade to a new version of the application, the sound files will be lost.
